Care Instructions & Preparation

  • Ready to Use: All our shawls are pre-washed using gentle products suitable for sensitive skin, meaning your shawl is perfectly safe and ready to use straight out of the packaging.
  • Washing: Due to the fine quality yarn and traditional hand-finished craftsmanship, please hand wash only in water not exceeding 30°C. Dry flat and keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Reshaping: The traditional scalloped edges will naturally relax after washing, which is a normal characteristic of the knit and does not deter from the quality. For a perfect finish, simply pin out the scalloped edges, cover with a protective cloth, and press with a cool iron.

Care

  • To keep your garment looking it's best for many years we highly recommend dry-cleaning all of our items as soon as possible after wear.
  • We don't recommend using water to clean any of our silk items as it will affect the colour and texture of the material, as well as cause the material to lose its natural sheen
  • If you choose to hand wash your cotton items, use a very mild detergent and rinse items well. Keep in mind that water, heat and detergents can affect the shape, texture and colour of the items and materials. Hang garments to dry, but avoid direct sunlight as this can discolour the materials
